Kirsten Stromberg was born in San Francisco, USA and currently lives in Italy lecturing at Syracuse University in Florence. Her work investigates issues of representation and perception through various media from sound to video, collage, installation and painting. Often reflecting on social and political issues, she questions the construction of ideological thinking specifically in dominant material culture, exploring the poetic and complex aspects of human experience.
