The Beauty Club is an ongoing collaborative project with Cathy Richardson, Corey Hitchcock, Kate Moore and Susan Van der Mellen. Concerned with the relationship between presence and creativity as social comment, The Beauty Club has developed many projects, most of which involve dedicating time together in unfamiliar spaces to observe creativity.

In the spirit of John Cage's 4'33', in which time marks the awareness of understanding the everyday sounds around you as music, The Beauty Club has staged 3 projects in different locations lasting one week each asking the same question of art. The challenge in each location was to see if one could obliterate ideas of 'creativity/non-creativity' regarding all interactions and to see every moment as potential.
